CNC & Reflection Riding

A bit hidden, this area is almost in down town Chattanooga. It's all in one deal where you can explore the nature from the car, bike, on foot or the water.

-Creek that runs through the property is a great way to do some canoeing in a beautiful scenery. CNC has 13 canoes available for their members (with life-vests and paddles) and a brand new canoe launch.

-Plenty of fairly level gravel roads are great for easy mountain biking.

-Plenty of hiking trails

-3 mile driving loop provides great opportunity to see the entire property from the seat of your car

Jack Daniels & George Dickle Distillery.

Old No.7 and No.12

These are two most famous and most delicious Whiskeys that are made in Tennessee. Only 1.50h from Chattanooga (towards Nashville), it's a perfect day trip. Take the advantage of free tours of both distilleries located just few minutes from each other and hear the fascinating history of Jack Daniels and George Dickle. Learn about the process of making the whisky, tour the facilities with guides and see with your own eyes how it all comes together. While you are there i would also strongly recommend to visit Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House Restaurant and experience the most traditional southern dining.

Burt's Pumpkin Patch + Hillcrest Orchard

These two farms located next to each other, only 1.45h from Chattanooga are the places to go in the fall. You will enjoy beautiful scenic ride on the way there. Burt's Pumpkin Patch is full of pumpkins of all shapes, including those giant ones. You can also take a hey ride that will take you through the farm. http://burtsfarm.com

Hillcrest Aplle Orchard (on the same road, just few miles away) is a place where you can get the best goodies made of apples. They also have plenty of good food, petting zoo, pig races, pony rides, wagon rides and much more. www.hillcrestorchards.net

These places are great for a day trip on a sunny weekend. Just make sure to leave earlier to beat the trafic. Usualy there is plenty of visitors later in the morning and lunch time so there is lot of cars coming in.

Gaylord Opryland Hotel

In Nashville, about a 2 hr drive from Chattanooga is this huge beautiful resort. What's so great about it — it is all indoors, so this makes a wonderful weekend trip for those cold months. Waterfalls, rivers, gardens, even a boat are all contained in this wonderland. Great for an overnight stay or just for a day trip.
